Kanchipuram saris are simply the best silk saris

They are made with top quality thick silk, with contrasted border and pallav. The body can be "double-coloured", giving a wonderful shimmering effect (such as the sari on the left, double-coloured purple and green). They are decorated with brocade motifs of real "zari" (gold thread) . These motifs are very elaborate and cover the whole border and pallav. Prices start at $200 (200 Euros, £140), in 6 yards only.

A Kanchipuram sari lasts a life-time. It can be washed. It is the preferred sari for weddings and important occasions. Nothing beats the sheer luxury of thick silk and pure gold. It turns any woman into a Goddess!
